When Jax arrived at his older brother Dolf’s house, he didn’t know exactly what to expect. He didn’t know if he was going to scream, fight, or just crumble.
Jax had known that his son, Eli, was gay for several years. And he was also very supportive of him. He felt no one could know him or protect him like his dad could. Even when things took an unusual turn, Jax made sure to tell Eli he would always be there for him…

When Dolf opened the front door to let Jax inside, he could see the slight trepidation on his younger brother’s face. Dolf gave Jax a big, warm smile, and with it, a mutual, unspoken sense of relief that everything was going to be worked out. Jax couldn’t help but still be a little in love with him. How could he not?
The brothers had the house all to themselves. Dolf led Jax to his bedroom and shut the door behind him. Then, an old tingle of excitement began to rise in Jax. Even with all that was going on, the private bedroom, the intense feelings, the way Dolf smelled; it brought up all the old feelings.
Dolf sat on the edge of the bed and said, “Let’s talk.”
Jax recalled the moment when Dolf had first relayed the fact that Eli had made a series of sexual advances. As Jax listened, he couldn’t help but acknowledge to himself moment-by-moment that Eli wasn’t a little boy anymore, and hadn’t been for a while. Jaz realized his possessiveness kept him from recognizing that. Jax was internally surprised that he didn’t feel embarrassment or anger around the situation. Not at all.
“If anything, I kinda felt a little jealous.” Jax admitted. They were not the words Jax had come over to say, but when they escaped his lips, they felt right. He was jealous not just of the fact that Eli’s virginity was taken by his older brother, but that Eli was getting attention that Jax used to think of as just for him.
It had been many years since the brothers had even spoken about what they used to do together. Jax never forgot, but he was sad that it was something that was no longer a part of his life. As full grown adults well into their forties, they had not revisited their shared attraction to one another.
After high school, the brothers took completely different paths in life. Jax ended up getting married to a woman and having Eli. Dolf went on to have a very successful business that kept him busy. The brothers always kept in frequent contact, but they intentionally refrained from being physical again. And yet, all these years later, Jax couldn’t help but want to be with him again.
“I remember when you and I would mess around,” Jax said, flashing a wide grin.
“Oh, yeah. I remember…”
Dolf paused. He admired his younger brother’s fit, chiseled body. It was then that Dolf explained that he couldn’t help feeling attracted to Eli. Not only was the boy handsome and flirty, he had a familiarity about him.
Dolf explained, “When Eli came over this summer… I don’t know. He looked so much like you. Back then. I had feelings come up I hadn’t had in a while. I remembered the old days. With you. And just… one thing led to another.”
“You think about those days a lot?” Jax asked, unable to hide a hint of desperation in his voice, as if begging for the answer he wanted to hear.
“More now than I used to. But yeah… you’re my little brother…”
